"Put Your Hands Up" was the fourth and final single to be released from the "Aphrodite" album. It was released on 29th May 2011 and peaked at a very disappointing 93. It was written by Finlay Dow-Smith, Miriam Nervo and Olivia Nervo. The b-side of the single was a new song called "Silence" which was written by Stuart Price, Chris Bruce and Henry Samuel. The single was released in various formats. It was the first Kylie single to be released as a digital download and was released in this format as two ep's. Version 1 contained 4 versions of the title track and the new song "Silence". The second version contained 3 versions of the title track plus two versions of "Cupid Boy" from the Aphodite album. It was also released as a physical "remixes" cd which contained 5 versions of the title track.
Kylie was very disappointed with the performance of all the singles from Aphrodite and didn't think the promotion had been very good. She felt that there was something missing and decided that she wouldn't release any more singles from the album.
