"Spinning Around" was the first single released from the "Light Years" cd. It was released in July 2000 and reached number 1, giving Kylie her first number 1 since "Tears On My Pillow" in 1990. It stayed in the charts for 11 weeks. The song was written by Ira Shickman, Osbourne Bingham, Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul. CD 1 contained 2 remixes which were "Sharp Vocal Mix" and "7th Spinnin' Dizzy Dub". This cd also contained the video. CD 2 contained 2 new tracks. "Cover Me With Kisses" was written by Kylie, Mike Rose, Nick Foster and Steve Anderson. "Paper Dolls" was written by Kylie and Steve Anderson. The 12" promo version contains the Sharp Vocal Mix and Sharp Double Dub Mix. The 12" version contains the 2 remixes on the promo, "7th Spinnin' Dizzy Dub" and "7th District Club Mix."
