In December 2004, Parlophone records released a double cd entitled "Ultimate Kylie". This was a collection of 31 of Kylie's singles up to that point, plus 2 new tracks. "I Believe In You" was the first of these new tracks to be released as a single. It was released on December 6th and entered the charts at number 2. It stayed in the charts for 12 weeks. This was Kylie's 11th number 2 single giving her a total of 18 singles that have reached the top 2 in the UK charts. It was only kept off number 1 by the charity single by Band Aid 20, "Do They Know It's Christmas. It was released as 2 cd's and a 12" picture disc. The tracks on the second cd were the same as on the 12" although the cd did also include the video. "I Believe In You" was written by Kylie, John Shears and Babydaddy. The first cd also included the new track "BPM" which was written by Kylie, Richard Stannard, and Julian Gallagher, CD2 and the 12" also included two remixes of "I Believe In You, which were called "Mylo Dub" and "Skylark Mix".
