On Thursday March 8th, 2001, I went to see Kylie in concert at Manchester Apollo Theatre. I had a standing ticket and I managed to get about ten yards from the stageabove two , just right of centre. The photographs are out of the programme.

The concert was opened by a band called Dimestars who performed a 35 minute set. After a break of about 30 minutes, the curtain went up to reveal a black curtain with the letters KM in silver on it. The band struck up the introduction to "Loveboat" and the the curtain rose. The set was designed as the bridge of a boat!! Kylie then descended out of the lights standing on an anchor!!

The photo above left was Kylie singing "Put Yourself In My Place" accompanied by acoustic guitar only. The one on the right is "On A Night Like This". We were then treated to a song from the album that Kylie is currently in the process of recording. The song is called "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" We then had a medley of songs from the "early" era.

After a rousing rendition of "Your Disco Needs You", Kylie then changed into top hat and white suit and performed a jazzy version of "I Should Be So Lucky" (whilst seated on a grand piano) followed by "Better The Devil The Know". Another surprise followed with a slowed down version of Olivia Newton-John's "Physical".

I have listed the complete track listing below. The whole of Kylie's set lasted for just under 2 hours. I must apologise for the quality of the photos, I don't have a very good camera, but I hope that they will give you some idea of what went on during the concert (I have included a few slightly better quality ones below). If you haven't had a chance to see Kylie live yet, I hope that you will soon manage to do so. It is an experience that you will remember for a very long time.
